A good while back I read a article on a 57 Chevy( RED and on the cover of Hot rodding doing a burnout if I remember correctly)
With twin Turbo 400 transmissions (NOT TUBOCHARGERS). With this setup you couple two transmissions together and run a high gear in the rear end and achieve low gear ratios by shifting the rear transmission.
The rear transmission has the bell removed and a manual valve body among other things.
I have this article in 2 different magazines and can't find either one. Does anybody have it that can send me a copy or let me know month and year or the address of the person who was making the kit.

I think it was in a Hot Rodding and maybe street rodder street rod or something like that.I guess I am getting old  because I know I put it up but I can't remember where!!!!!!

Sounds like a cool setup. The only thing I've heard like that is from Gear Vendor. They make a little add-on that does the same thing. The GV is pricey though. How much was this TH400 mod?

I have contacted Gear venders but I was wanting to check this out again because I think it would do the same thing and be cheaper. I have several odd bell 400's one jeep and some B.O.P. cases just sitting around.
