Ouch! I hope that's a one time fee instead of yearly. In WA we have to pay something like $35 extra a year on top of the initial fee for personalized plates. And to top it off, the state requires you to get a new plate every 7 years because they say the reflective material wears off. I'll have to get my new plate in September so I'm wondering if they'll still try to stiff me for the "initial plate" cost again. Being the goverment I'm betting they do.
