Interesting. The more you know I guess!
Anyways, adding some interior "before" shots. Main notes in here; 1) Seats are worn to the bone, going to look at replacing them with thin 1 piece buckets (hoping to gain that extra 1" of leg room). 2) current gauge setup is super clunky, plus of the stock gauges the speedo is way high, fuel gauge is pretty much useless (might be the level sensor here? Shows full until you burn about 3-4 gallons then swings wildly about for about a gallon before resting on empty. Oh and stock temp gauge doesn't work but aftermarket one does; I'm guessing the prev owner swapped the wiring). 3) Stock shifter leaves a lot to be desired in both style and feel (actual trans engagement feels nice and notchy but the neutral engagement & precision is just off. Might just need bushings somewhere?). Would like to go lightly weighted here in the future (I'm guessing the shift lever is fairly standard?)
Also a couple challenge goals I want to try and work out while going through the build + minor updates
- Goal 1: (Post EFI) Get cruise control working (either custom dev. or included functionality in the EFI ECU)
- Goal 2a: Install an integrated dash & backup camera. Integrate video feedback into PI dash
- Goal 2b: Develop a basic forward collision/lane departure logic into the PI dash (lot of open source SW to start with, final integration is gonna be tough)
Some progress;
- Lowering blocks have been ordered; went with 4" blocks w/ a 3° pitch correction. Hopefully those work nicely, should be coming in this week or next
- Found a nice source of info for getting a PI dash put together. Basically a some assembly required "turn key" type setup to run it off Android Auto though in theory. (Note, the main reason I'm looking to not use a normal head unit is the desire to build in custom functionality; it won't be cheaper or faster, but it'll be way more fun)
- For seats I'm currently looking at a set of NRGs + low profile generic mounts. If there's an available dedicated seat bracket that's available though that would be amazing. Will look a bit more here, advise is happily welcomed!
- For EFI, I'm currently eyeing the single DCOE kit from turbogemeni (I'll toss the link below). It looks to be too notch, anyone have experience with them?

Going down 3" in the front will certainly cause some clashing on my existing wheels so I may look to swap these out/have the fronts machined down (or do it myself) about 5mm or so. Anyone have info on ideal/known good wheel offsets at all?
