I , starting to try and find out all the parts I nedd and where to get them for my Truck. I know it has a 350 Chevy motor, a turbo 350 trans, a ford nine inch rear end, and front disk brakes of a 1976 Chevy luv truck. Driven it a little bit, then put a set of points and condenser in the distributor. I will be changing the distributor later for a MSD small cap model, and a MSD box.
I went to my local parts stores. Neither the Auto Zone, Discount, or Orielys carry a rebuilt caliper to replace the frozen one on the drivers side. I did see a codine unit at summit that seems to be about two weeks off to get here. I will post some pictures when I get the resizing thing figured out.

You can find a good amount of parts on ebay. On the brake caliper, I took my old ones to a NAPA store and had them send them to their rebuild center. It was Cardone that did the work and I found them on line and through ebay also. And they were cheaper than NAPA. So do a little research and you can find them cheaper.

The breaks that are on it, at this time, are from a 1976 Luv according to the numbers on the parts.

Nice looking LUV. Like the color. I put the Ford 8.8 with posi in mine with custom axles drilled for Chevy 5 lug and redrilled the front for the same. I have a '72, came with front discs that were swapped no telling when. I just did the install 10 months ago so everything is new.

if you take this clip of the brake line and loosen up the nut, you can then twixt the break line where it needs to be to mount the 1982 Iuzu caliper.

After some paint and loading the caliper with the pads, it will fit on the front of you Chevy Luv truck.

It centers well on the rotor. The brake fitting is however in a different location then the old one.

You need to use the bolt from the old caliper, as the one that comes with the 1982 Isuzu one is longer, and has a smaller hole then the one for the Chevy luv.

I went to work on the passenger side breaks, and noticed the mud control flap on the inner fender was melted. I am guessing it gets a little hot down there.
