Hello all, my last post was over 5 years ago and for that I apologize. Since then I have met the love of my life, gotten married, a buttcheek tattoo, and my Wife is 7 months pregnant.

I wanted to let the Gentlemen of the forum know the Luv has received attention between my last post and now.

I have since blocked the entire truck down to 320 Grit. I have an S10 rear end with a factory (garbage) posi. LS Power by ace mounts, etc...

My friend called me out of the blue to inform me that he had an opportunity through a work acquaintance to acquire a 2007 Chevy Suburban 2500. All of the airbags had deployed while the vehicle was stationary due to seals being compromised causing moisture to destroy electronic components. Their insurance declared the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle was previously used as a delivery van for a bouquet business. The owners had an engine fail on them and opted for a GM crate replacement 40,000 miles ago. My friend informed me he would give me the engine out of the kindness of his heart.

The first night I went to see the suburban on his property we took the Suburban out for a ride. All of the rear seats had been pulled by the dealership. We went for a rip and it pulled like a freight train despite it's weight.

We have since pulled the engine and have Discovered it is a L76 all Aluminum 6.0 LS. I ordered a Elgin "stage 2 sloppy camshaft" all appropriate gaskets, C10 shorty LS swap headers, Pac 1218 valve springs, a new Mellin Oil pump, LS3 intake manifold, ACE motor mounts, and many other goodies.

I have access to a dry ice blasting machine through my work that acts similar to a sand blasting machine minus the left over media. (refer to pictures of frozen heads.)

Currently I am awaiting ARP components to put the engine back together. Upon completion I will be painting the Luv.

My lovely help that still believes I will finish this project after being told so for 5 years.

There is a saying, "“If a man tells a woman he’s going to do something, he’s going to do it. She doesn’t have to remind him every six months.”

Looking good. Just gotta keep going. I say that as I've just started to touch mine after ignoring it for about 2 years. LOL.
