Been awhile since I posted anything on this.
Finally got the trans back from rutland's after chewing there asses out, they had it for a month and after the ass chewing it took a day and a half to complete. I gave them everything to rebuild other than the BTE intermediate drum which they ordered. Motor will be finished by next weekend as we took push rod measurements yesterday. My son is ready to drive the luv but the real work is about to begin. We have just about everything we need to start and complete this build so look for post to be coming in about 2 weeks.

We finally had some time to start getting back on the luv again. We started with the bed and rolled in a DIY bed liner. Hardest part was the prep work. We did this in preparation for the fuel system.

No sooner than we finished with the rear we noticed the right front caliper was stuck  so we ordered a new one and replaced it.

more pictures. QFT 175 pump mounted just have to run the return line from the pump to the tank. I like that you really cant see the fuel line against the bed liner.

Been awhile since I posted anything on the build but it is finally finished. Got the exhaust done on the truck and took it to a buddies house straight from the muffler shop to tune the carb. Adjusted the carb, shut it off and cleaned up. We came back out to go test drive and it will not start????? It acted like the battery was dead....NOT!!! Well after a little digging, trying to trace wires and reading schematics I said FK IT and bought a new wiring harness from autowire. Had a friend install the harness but we routed it a little differently than stock so the wires are not seen on the firewall. The new luv I bought was done this way and looked really clean. so here are some pics and maybe a video if it loads of the finished product.

really nice. Like seeing your son getting involved. Teach a kid the love of motorsports and they will never have enough money for drugs :)

Thanks goober. He's the last one of the three ( even though they all are still home) that will listen to me on cars and such. Two oldest had the same opportunity but chose to do things differently.
