I picked up another Luv yesterday. I was planning on buying it as a roller but ended up getting it with the drivetrain. It has a 3970010 350 block with a big cam and gear drive. It has vortec heads, hooker headers and a Holley carb. Sounds mean. The rear is out of a ranger and it has front discs. The truck was being converted to coil overs and came with some QA1's. One shock tower was cut off and he kept telling me he had brackets for the coil overs but he couldn't find them. I found 4 of them under the seat today. I am wondering if they would be strong enough to hold up the truck? I'm not sure where I am headed with this one. It came with lots of nice parts. I do need a drivers side fender though and a valance would be nice.

The idea was for this to bolt on but I am thinking some gusseting would make it stronger?

I spent some time in the driveway today. I took off the electric fan and made a couple spacers for the bottom of the radiator. This made plenty of room for a fan on the water pump. Its a shame the front bumper was notched to make the electric fan fit.

I swapped on the matching newer style door.

Then I scored a fender after a great tip from another Luv owner. He told me Ecology center had a Luv with a fender and I shot right over there. It isn't perfect but its good enough for now. I also picked up a newer style valance to tie it together for now.

It is up in the air right now. I was planning on buying it as a roller without the motor and trans and parting it out. The only pics I saw were bad cell phone pictures. After seeing it the truck is too nice to take it apart so I am deciding what to do with it as I go. It was missing a few things that I had sitting around but it is mostly a complete truck. 8)

I was joking when I said to sell it to Ron, I had no idea he was looking at it. Glad he got it.

Um, um, you would need to talk to the CFO of the house, here is a hint, it's not me.
