This is the start of a very long build. I had one in the 80s and really frankensiened it. Not doing it with this one. Im older wiser and much more experianced. For starters the drivetrain will be a stock ls motor backed by a 700 R4,and a 8.8 out back. Will convert to dual headlight. For the body. Im thinking about the one peice fiberglass front end and glass hood ,probly a cowl hood. Shave the body. Since I have a second cab. Do a four inch chop. Also a pass throgh cab below the bed rails and build a box in the bed to house the must have audio componants. The rocker are in unbelievable. Condition not a drop of rot so the will remain untouched. For a 34 year old truck it is great condition as far as rot. The worst spots are the typical. Rot on the lower fenders. Now the bed someone installed a bed liner. All I can say is THANKS no bed dings and very minimal rot. It will be lowered. Not sure about air ride.or not and a four link , with mustang 2 front suspensio. Will.have to upload starting picts later cant hpload from my phone

That is quite a bit of progress. It could be the angle in the pics but the front A pillars look about 1" too high? It looks like the roof is higher at the windshield than the back of the cab?

must be the angle. The drip rails are the same hight front to back. Keep im mind the roof skin is not there yet so that throws it off

Your flares look like a few trucks from the late 70's or early 80's. I remember some IMSA style flared Luvs but have not found a pic of one on the web yet. The front fenders would have wide flares and a big air dam in front. I thought they looked pretty cool.

for the front end Im going to use the fiberglass 1 piece with the chin spoiler integrated. Im also debating on dually wheels in the back or 1 wide wheel and tire. The weld dually wheels are sick looking and available in a 17 inch

good choice, great amount of aftermarket support, there is even a decent selection of ebay parts that are worth using for a turbo build for the ka24de. ii spent a while on ka-t.org great place for all that good stuff

That's a lot of work you have ahead of you but you are sure on your way! The chop and stretch looks great. Did you have to cut the windshield glass?
I had a buddy who did a chop on a 1975 Luv but he just laid the stock glass back so there would be no cutting.

Picture of my IMSA Datsun, built for the SEMA show. Long gone, another one of many vehicle I wish I still had.
