Alright going to start a build log...but first let me introduce my self, im jake and currently am working on my 94 nissan hardbody bagged laynframe pictured below. my dad just started his new project a 1967 gmc c15 which is going to be a full build, short bed, v8, slammed or bagged, ect. now on to the actual subject of matter the 1978 luv! my parents just bought this luv from a family friend and at the moment were just going to fix some things on it to get it in better running condition and drive it when ever someones vehicle is down/being worked on. the truck has fairly big chop on it, shaved doors, shaved markers, shaved bed rails, bla bla. its currently got a toyota 22r motor in it that needs a little tuning, thats about it for the luv. soooooo, its going to be driven here and there with some tweaks inbetween and once i finish my truck as my bagged daily i plan on buying the truck from my parents and building show quality but i want to be able to drive it unlike some other minis i see( take off shoes to drive onto trailer and thats it!?!?) "built it then drive it". bagged and bodyd full frame, bla bla bla.

Post a pic with someone in the truck. I'm curious to know how that works out. I'm in visioning people having to lay across the seat and using hand controls! It may just be the pic but it seems like the chop is over the top!

Welcome, I had seen the chopped Luv on Craigslist back in September before my trip to Portland and was drooling over it pretty heavy. I was planning on checking it out, but it was gone before I got there. It looks pretty bad a$$, good luck with it! 8)

That'll look pretty good, any idea when your gonna get started on the luv build?
It still confuses me how many luvs have 22rs in them these days, most people woth luvs try their damdest to avoid being confused with a toyota. I think sbc's outnumber the stocker by a lot in the luvs that are still on the road.

I wish i had a jeep or something awd there are a ton of hills around my place and an acura isnt ideal for this weather without chains
