Update ; havent done very much with the truck . I pulled the Caltracs and put them on a buddies truck to help him out plus i had a guy that wanted the truck without the 10 bolt 8.5 and caltrac stuff . Got all the drop stuff off and back to stock hieght and he backed out . I will take a deposit next time . Bought a 224R cam for it and im shpping for a used lockup converter for the 4l60e . I bought a metal cowl hood off ebay . Here is a picture .

I have also worked out the details on the paint job . It will be white with silver metalic in the center portion between the features broken by a charcoal grey metalick with a gloss black part line . With this pattern airbrushed into it . It will also have spark plugs , nitrous bottles , wrenches , chevy emblems etc very suttly hidden in the center of the gears .

The bumpers will be gray painted and later i will probably find chrome ones . Just thought id updated .

Maybe grey on the bottom of it, then the top white?

Is this paint or a vinyl wrap?

if that is paint it is pretty impressive, I like the little hidden parts, so far I have noticed a shock, spark plug, the piston and head, and a little gear skull

Does the steering column look like something that could fit a Luv? I have wondered because it would be cheaper than the aftermarket ones. Not a lot of Junk yards around here.

Kinda like old school lace paint jobs. Not really the same. Was a stencile used or is that all air bushed. Very nice, but a little overwhelming to me. Just trying to find all the stuff.

looks stenciled lots of the same gear shapes, but either way that is a hell of a good deal on that paint job, cant even get a cheap standard paint job that cheap a lot of places

The gear stencile was an ebay purchace the others we made up so it cannot be duplicates . He is adding a black breakup strip and the hood will have SS style strips and the gears will fad as they go toward the windsheild . It can be overwhelming , but that is what i wanted . I wanted it to be different . I'll get it back saturday and i'll reassemble it this weekend .

Looks great.
I've always liked the earlier S-10's.
