Yep! Almost got the exhaust finished last night, driver side is done, passenger side just needs to be welded the rest of the way, ran out of gas last night :/ right now its just 2" pipe with glasspacks . Will get upgraded later on and mitered the all the cuts, so no fancy bends, I like the look more over pipe bent with a bender, but it took a lot more time to do.

Question for you guys, which wire coming off the ignition switch do I tap into to run to the distributor? There is 1 black 1 blue, 1 black/white stripe and 2 black/yellow. Right now I've just got a wire from the dizzy straight to the battery, which works for now but when its back on the road I'd like to turn it off with the key

Thanks!! It's always nice to hear that. As for doinga v6 or v8 swap, have a job, have the tools, and acquire all the parts first, then swap everything in a day or 2. This thing wouldnt be anywhere near where it is today if I didn't have all the tools to do it.

Throttle cable setup is done! Kinda ghetto rigged, but it works, and that's all that matters. Will change it later on. Waiting on my fuel pump and alternator. So close to being driveable. I'm so ready to be done and enjoy it. Fan,tranny fluid, run a wire for alternator and it'll be "done"

couple pics. got stuff done today. finished and installed exhaust, installed fuel pump, got the right size belt finally, wired up alternator and bought some more tranny fluid. all that left to do is pour gas in the tank and bolt on bed, adjust the fuel pressure, make sure fluids are good and I can take it for a spin! if there is no leaks or anything.

Fired it up and let it run for a little bit. Fuel preessire regulator is weird and I can't figure it out. So I bypassed it. Have a leaking tranny hose which will be replaced. Thing is loud! And shakes the entire truck haha. Gear drive sounds great as expected :) tomorrow ill pick up the hose, top off the tranny, figure out fpr and fingers crossed take it for a spin

Thanks! So question for you guys. Which wire do I tap into to run to the hei from the ignition switch so it shuts off with key?

Tranny leak fixed, now I have a coolant leak from the upper radiator hose. Waiting for it to cool down before I tear into that. Also think my temp sending unit is dead. Not moving the gauge, gauge does work. Still need to figure out hei and ignition deal so it shuts off with the key. And wire up the electric choke

Drove it for the first time since august 1st. And with a v8 this time. Just went like maybe 1/4 mile. This thing is a beast! And the high idle matched with worn drum pads, the tires spin on gravel when I put it in gear lol. Monster lights them up like nothing. Did a 1/4 burnout lol. 4 banger was fun but not nearly this much fun :)

You will need to find key on power then.
