Torsion bars are the next thing to go. Should be able to finish mocking up the motor after that.

Cutting the clearance very close
Image

Just a couple of shots of the motor mounts

Cleaned up some of the old cuts I did and modified the under the engine crossmember bolt up area , still need to modify the crossmember itself.
you can see the pieces of the crossmember I cut off lying of the floor.

Engine shimmed on jack stands where it will sit once the motor mount brackets are fabbed up. Level left to right, and 1-2 neg- degrees front to back to compensate for when the coilovers are installed since the truck is sitting on the bump stops atm. Oil pan to bottom of tire clearance( I would say oil pan to ground clearance but the truck is sitting on blocks on all 4 tires.)

Bought a welding tank today along with a welding helmet, so I should now be able to continue with the motor mount.

So turns out the welder I had bought did not have enough amperage (135amp) for the steel I bought for the motor mount brackets or for the frame its self. uprgraded (to 175amp) it, but now Iv'e got to have a 220v plug put in my garage.

I am impressed with your determination!
I know nearly nothing about rotary engines, so when I see yours, my eyes revert to the deer in the headlights look... 8O
I can't figure out what is what, up or down, or in or out.

My engine brain is still stuck in the carburated 1970's and '80's. Boy, I need to catch up with the times.

Just think.

The sound these engines make a full tilt is what made me want to do this. Have always wanted a rotary but was unwilling to give up the LUV, and so I decided to join the two.
