well heres the start of my build heres the back ground my dad called me and said hey you want a free truck so of course i said yes then when he told me what it was the deal got even better haha but what i got was a 72 luv 2wd with a 383 stroker my dad bought it from a freind that couldnt get it to start so gave up on it after all the money her put in it haaha long story short gave my dad the 383 out of respect for giving me the truck plus i got a parts truck so heres what i have so far


engine:
350
rv cam
hooker headers
intake
10:1cp
rebuilt 5000 miles ago

tranny:
turbo350
shift kit
full rebuild

I run a factory Th 350 and my 400 has a Hughes with locking dipstick . Powerglide also had a hughes . I have run the Chrome factory replacement also . These trucks were almost made for V8's if you look 3 times , measure twice and cut once . No need to cut the core support out or the firewall .

I cut a small small hole in the floor and made a short tranny dipstick for my truck.
It's a bit of a nuisance to check but how often do you have to check the tranny fluid!

heres pics of the motor no the clear hose is not staying haha it was only for mock up same with the top radiator hose along with vacuum lines ect.

going to finish lifting it this week.then next winter im goin o tear it all down and paint,rewire,maybe new suspension set up

yea i had to get it in quick as it will be kinda a work truck. and for the radiator i have no idea it came with the truck when i got it haha. it acually has two radiators ones in the back under the bed i will get pics of it tomaro both have fans.i was wonder which wire is for the factory battery light and how would i hook it up i have a delco remy 105a alternator

What alt do you have ? I prefer the 3 wire setup with a large charge wire , a battary sensing wire , and the battary light as an exicter
