Maybe post surgery I can get back on track with the Luv

When I was a kid every cool HotWheel had a blower sticking out of the hood. All of the FunnyCars had blowers! I always wanted a Blower car, so the look is more important than the power. Besides we all know it's about the look not the power that's why we all have Luv's.

if you see a big blower sticking out of the hood of a car it just screams straight line dominance

and i agree the luv never had power to begin with but people have been collecting them anyway because they are the slickest looking little trucks around

Everybody has seen my truck, if not it's at the first of the thread. The funny thing is, about once every 2 or 3 weeks someone tries to buy it! And about every other week someone talks to me about their Chevy Luv story. These things go straight across all cultural line and ages. It seems that just about everyone had a little luv in their life back in the day. On a funny note, my father worked for Chevrolet back when the Luv came out. He finally went for a ride in mine a few days ago and said"don't change a thing about this truck leave it alone! This thing rides and drives just like I remember them back in the 70's!"
Hahahah kind of funny coming from a street rod guy who never left anything stock.
I think I'll name my truck
"Hard to Luv"
Go google Hard to love by Haystack, very cool very sad but kind of fits my truck, it's like me, Hard to love.

In retrospect, I'm not sure if these wheels are factory fords or old Fentons. What I do know is, there are no friggin caps to be found to fit them! I have looked high and low :(
So on a last ditch effort I bought a set of caps from the new torque thrust II's hoping they might be close. After they arrived they barely fit. Sooo close it's scary. I measured everything and drilled and tapped the holes. They bolted up great nod look nice
Image
Afterwards I cleaned the wheels polished them with Mothers than finished the polish off with cornstarch.

Well, looks like I might be moving on guys, still on the fence. First off I have too many projects, (1939 Buick 1973 Camaro Subaru Sambar and several bike projects)
Second, the Luv has been my daily driver for a while now, well it's time for the Wife to buy another work truck and she's handing down her Honda Ridgeline truck to me. So I guess something has to go, I guess I could keep it but we just have too many vehicles. A guy at work offered me $2000 cash when he get his tax refund,,,,,,, so,,,,,,,, just thinking,,,,,, although the Wife says keep it, where is the question!

Well, hell! I guess it's done. We went tonite and bought a new Tundra, when we were doing paperwork we started talking cars, I said something about selling my retro rat rod Luv, next thing you know the sales manager is all questions, and buys it on the spot! Man! I hate to see the old girl go! :(
On the upside, he paid me considerably more than I was going to sell it to my buddy for and he is already making plans. Guess I better point him here so you guys can help him out.
