They are the Hooker conversion headers . I intend to have the slip fit on the passenger side modified with a flange . I always had an exhaust leak their .

I did this on a set and it worked great.

Good to know someone else has done this . My Blue truck always seemed to have a pop on that side . In some of the videos you could see that side flicker when spraying it . Also looking into having them coated on the inside and out to preserve them and help with heat .

Spent a little time today measuring under the dash . entertaining putting a street rod a/c system in it .

Also i think the fleet side bed allows for more tire options than the stepside . 275/60/15 drag radials fit but look like they are gonna rub . I had plenty of room with the blue truck and the same tire

The Jethot is amazing...just had a set done for the the modified. They are pricey but they honestly look like chrome. I will post a pic. The A/C would be worth its weight in gold we just hit 35+ days over 100* I was raised that real hotrods dont have a/c...I am begining to disagree.....Where does the tire rub on a stepside? Thought they would be the same unless the width of the opening is different.

I got jet hot on mine, it will eventually peel. Lifetime warranty is not in effect if they coat used stuff, or if you lose your reciept. Oh, and dibs on the stepside bed, lol...

Well the stepside box is about 1" wider than the frame rails , so it takes up some of the backspace room and the step fenders are a little narrower then the fleet bedsides . I also found the box to be off by a little side to side so i will be moving it some .

Oh. and it will stay a stepside . Sorry TP :D .

Here is a pic of the coating in question..they are coated inside and out. This is only pressured washed after last weekend. And these have 44 laps at 8200-8400 RPM. I can let you know how they hold up but the best I have seen.

Ok Trans lines are run , dipsticks in , moved the radiator forward more and clearenced the cross member . Really considering putting an aftermarket shifter in and Losing the factory heater assembly for a street rod style A/c heat combo . Bought a 3.60 gear and it is looking like a used nascar detroit locker will be next . Also considering a Chevelle/nova style gas tankwith sump and roll pan with flip down plate for filler. It is really close . Still waiting on alt bracket .
