Ended up with this little truck in a trade, and lets just say I didn't have much in it to begin with. The pics are a few days into the project. So far I have taken out the seat and undercoated the inside. For some reason I also thought the bed should be shorter so I took out about a foot on the rear side of the springs. I'm not sure about that decision yet. Let me know whatcha think! Paint is going to be Rustoleum hammered black brushed on to prevent it from rusting further.

I think the shortened bed looks cool. I'd like to do that with mine, except I'll need the room to carry tools.

I took out right at a foot just to make it as short as possible without having to alter the springs. Originally 8 inches was the goal to make the space to the rear of the wheel wells equal to the front, but once I started cutting I just couldn't help it and went as short as possible. this isn't the first vehicle I have cut up for body mods, but it is the first one i have ever tried to put back together.

Haha, nice. I wonder if the shorter bed will make it better off-road? Be careful brush painting it, I brush painted mine and wasn't so happy with the results...... You shouldn't have to worry too much about brush strokes tho luckily. Hammered paint should give it an interesting texture. Like it alot so far, :smt023

Don't worry! I didn't use any primer and I plan to spray paint over the brush job. Will get more pics up soon the wire mesh windows are coming along nicely, and the exhaust stack really pleased me also.

Well here it is. It's coming along. nothing like some spray foam and metal tape to fill in those rust holes! Been out arguing with the state vehicle inspectors about the need for a windshield.

You don't need no windshield. Just drive with a motorcycle helmet on!
