Speaking of grilles, that's not a '77 grille, they were the last year for dual headlights. I'm not sure but I think they were also the last year for wing windows, which your truck doesn't have. You may have a newer truck than you thought.

Yep your right,!
I was told by the PO that they replaced the dual headlights (I thought 1978 was the last year of 4 headlights?) with later model singles,, not sure about the wing windows,

the (clean) Ca title states it's a 1977, as does the Cal. BAR sticker, ... 8) (I wish it was a 1975 or earlier, :? )

78 is the FIRST year of single headlights and no wing windows.

now sitting on some 39x15x15 Micky Thompson tires on 15x12 eagle alloys (snow tires),
although the 231 v-6 runs great, I couldnt pass up a deal on a tbi 350/700r4,, so next is a engine swap.!!

That square tube grille is from Stull. I have that one in my LUV as well. Most likely it's not made anymore.

Web, i really need to talk to you about this solid axle swap that you did, though I wanna run a toy fron axle. Im gonna have a TON of questions though so if you could get ahold of me, my number is in another of my posts, please get in contact with me. 38-39s on your LUV are awesome and thats exactly what I have been going for.

A Toy axle will be cool, 8)
I would have ran 1, but I got a great deal on the D44,
since I bought the Luv already SAS'ed, I reused the original front spring hanger that they made when they ran the Jeep D30 front axle, it had a narrower spring width than a Toyota,, so if you build your own "drop box" (front spring hanger) you can just measure the Toy spring pad widths,
e-mail me
buland@suddenlink.net
and we can start talking about your build...

I'm kind of thinking of actually going to a little bigger tire,!!
I might toss on some 18/44/15 Dick Cepek Fun Countrys,!!

if I can muster up the $$.. :?

since this truck is going to be mostly just a run around town/snow runner I think the 44's would make it look more like the early 80's style I'm going after.. 8)

well the 39's are for sale, :) and I will be picking up the 18x44x15 Dick Cepek Fun Country's on 2/26, (this should be interesting..! :o )
I bought some black auto carpet/padding today from the local weekend auction, to replace the brown house bathroom carpet .. thats in the cab now
and found some nice bucket seats, and a B&M Unimatic floor shifter on Craigslist, (I hate the B&M Megashifter thats in it now, :econfused )

a little more progress.... 8)

got the 44" tires mounted and on
gutted the interior of the bench seat and old carpet and blue seat belts
I did a little research and took "luv2gofast" advise on using Toyota truck door door weatherstripping,, I have alot of misc Toyota 4wd parts,, so after digging around I located 2 good door seals from a 1987 Toyota 4Runner,, I'm changing the interior color from baby blue to black/gray,, so it was a good time to replace the old rubber, I got the rt. door rubber on, fits great, (I cut about 9"s off the Toyota seal and glued the cut pieces on the bottom side of the door,,the door has never shut soo good ,nice and tight!,,also used Dupli-Color vinyl/cloth spray paint for the door panels/handle,,
