Well all here are some pics of my fallen officers tribute truck that i am building. Let me know what you think. The motor is a chevy 350 with 450hp 350 turbo trans with a 2800 stall and shift kit. rear end is a ford 9in with 4:11 gears 31 spline. more to come as i do more to it. next is a fiberglass hood from Feathercarbon.com. after that will be the disc brakes and coilover setup. then rool cage. so agin let me know what you think.

this motor will work until I get the one from engine factory one shows up they are going to build me a 500plus hp 383 stroker that I am thinking of adding NOS to it but have to wait and see how she runs. the paint will be police black and white it will have red and blues on it for shows and track. the stobes will be in the 72 tailgate I found. Hope to have more done by weekend and posted for you guys. Hey here is question for you all what to you think of front coilovers or keeping stock bars plus if I go with coilovers what spring weight? Thanks I will also have lots of parts for sale soon I was able to find a 72 in super clean condition original owner no rust that will be a frame off job with a 383 blown so I will lots of parts off it for sale. will have list by sunday I hope.

This thing really does pack a punch. Hopefully some day soon it will be mine. With all the work in her already, glad to see her start finally.

UPDATE

Well found a set of 5lug 5.5 pattern front disc setup for 50 bucks that included the calipers. Will be getting those done either today or tomorrow. Going to put in a 8in dual bladder power booster from a 1980 chevy truck going to take both the booster and master from it and fab up everything should allow it to stop on a dime. I will make sure to let everyone know how it does plus put the plans up on how to do it to your luv. Picked up a electirc water pump so that will allow me to run only the alternator off the crank. I put a 16 inch electric fan with a temp sensor set at 180 degree. it is real tight fitting but covers the whole radiator. running in front of the radiator. next week will start the fab up of the bed going to tub it so I can run the slicks I am going to need. and at the same time going to put a 6 LINK in it. and yes I said 6 link not a 4 link. I will have some parts to be placed on her when I get that done. will have 2 factory gas tanks and filler necks for sale. Going to run a 16 gal fuel cell. it will be sitting in the rear part of the bed recessed in. than I should be at the point to start the body work. Looking for some kind of front spoiler, but no the big square looking ones I am going to see if I can take a early modle s-10 spoiler and modify it to fit. Pics will be comming. Any suggetions welcomed.

Ok got new brakes will put on after christmas. plus got a early present from santa a new trans but here is the nice thing it is a TRUE ROLLS-ROYCE 72 SIVER SHADDOW. 4 speed hi. for those that dont know it these tranny's were copied by chevy for the 350/400 turbo. these are bullet proof. New motor in route from engine factory. 383 stroker 550plus hp set up for another 250hp nos kit for a total of 800 hp. will have more pics soon.

Got lucky found a luv at the yard perfect body blown motor. pull all body parts off and the front disc setup. got it all on today. for those wanting to change front front drum to disc easy as pie. you DO NOT need to change the master. they stop on a dime. plus cross matched the 73 master with the 76 and they are the same. pics to come

well with help from friends really didnt get to far behind. trans set and truck up and running again. took it out to the track. truck ran sloppy on first run with 8 in slicks. I think the guy driving didnt really get a feel for the truck. second run swapped tired to the 10 in and a full bottle. lifted front end 12 inches ran 9.94 144mph. he left off thinking he heard something at end. 3rd run snapped rear shaft driver side at the 100 ft mark. tells me time to go to the 33 spline. will go for paint in about 2 weeks. then pull rear and redo. sucks stuck in chair watching. lol
