Here is my Buick Powered 1979 Chevy LUV.

I call her Rotor-6 as a blower on a buick V6 is unheard of in a sea of turbos.

not finished yet.... still a good ways to go... but its getting there slowly.

Engine: 274 ci stroked V6.
4.1 Buick stage 1 block.
Cat crank
Oliver rods
Venola pistons
Engle Cam
8445 heads
Gear Drive
3 Stage Dry Sump
Weiand Supercharger.
Twin Mikuni PHH 44 Side draft carbs.
SMC Alky Injection
Ford EDIS ignition by Mega Jolt.

Trans:
700R4

Chassis:
5 lug swap to GN spindles and rotors on front with QA1 coilovers.
S10 rear on S10 Leafs
1 of the stock cross memebers removed.

Body:
79 Chevy "LUV" truck.
Severe Diet on all excess weight. everything not needed removed.
no plans for paint or rust repair on exterior. sun faded "Patina" desired.
Engine compartment will be blacked out in gloss
Interior will be restored to factory.

Goal
high 9s with the AC on.

Very nice, some people just have to be different don't they!

I'm digging the side pipes, that is exactly what I had in mind for mine with a coat of satin black on them. Did you make them?

lol, I was having issues tucking 3" exhaust under the truck and decided the hell with it and made the pipes. there 3" 14ga mildsteel tubes.

Hey doc what kind of hp would a 4.3 with a performer package and headers put out?

I would say you could net a solid 245-255 hp if you really push some time into your heads.

something to keep in mind, V6s respond to boost better. there design is well suited for making this type of power. which is why there such terrible NA performers.

but depending on your budget it can get wild.
