Well it started out to be a parts truck but we will see how that works out.

First day in the driveway it got unpacked and cleaned up. The bed was full of goodies.

I don't know who Bill was, but he took pretty good care of this bed. I was planning on selling the bed but it looks pretty good.

Ben's old valance was in the bed and had to go back on. The bumper has to go.

The 4.3 has to go too. I have been wrenching on small blocks for 30 years and I don't want to mess with it.

I was hoping for a quick sale on Craigslist. I would prefer a local sale to someone with a cherry picker. With the torsion bars down all the way the cast oil pan is about 3" off the ground. 8O

If my memory is working it was a two thousand something S10 4.3 with approximately 20k on it before it was broadsided. Karl saw it run in a Jeep and had it started in the Luv. The trans is a 200r4 and I think it has been gone through, but Karl would know. I don't know if shipping it would be cost effective across the country. It has an Edelbrock intake and carb and Billet HEI also. The whole engine looks clean and fresh though.

Call fedex freight. The quotes they give you on their site are useless. I could have shipped my motor and trans out of my luv about 600 miles for $75 terminal to terminal. No pickup or delivery. Just crate it and take it there, and the person you're shipping to picks it up from their terminal.

I got real lucky having a buddy with a truck and trailer who would haul it for gas and lunch. I am real happy with the truck and looking forward to a weekend in the driveway. Maybe Karl will get tired of his other Luv and hook you up. lol

If anything changes with my plans you get first dibs hotrod80.

My white LUV will be sold out of my estate after I have been cremated.

Today I traded the stock hood for a pin on fiberglass job with a fellow V8 Luv owner, I'm not sure who got the deal though lol, it may go on my 72. I also sold the 76 valance and side markers. If the bumper fit a 73 that would have gone too. Yesterday I test fit the front centerlines on my 72 and the backspacing is perfect. Too hot to work out in the driveway today so that was it for this weekend.

That's an early style bumper. They're sexier than the later ones.

The bumper is on the stock brackets, I don't think it is. I have some gap issues with the front clip though that may throw it off.
