Personally, no bumper is the hottest look but thats just me

After further inspection of the glass hood it appears to be an LV100 from UP22. Complete with glassed in hinge pockets. I took a hood bolt and ran it down all 4 holes and they feel solid. So now I'm thinking I made out with the hood swap.

The reason it had to pin on his Luv was the core support is cut wide and there is nowhere to put the hinges.

In an effort to leave my 72 alone and enjoy driving it I have started in on the 76.

I pulled the bed off and started cleaning up the frame and rearend. I didn't know the rear had summers brothers axles.

The tires are way close to the frame with 1/4" spacers. I'm thinking a 245/60 would be a better fit over these 50 series.

A little prep and paint for the frame rails and my weekend was over.

Sitting outside for the last year was giving the surface rust a start so I had to give it some protection. I haven't decided on the bottom color yet...

I bought it earlier this year from a forum member here. It was in the classifieds for a month at least with no takers so I went for it. I am going to use it as a prototype to make a square tube version. Its pretty simple construction.

I decided to let my L88 hood go and made a deal with my buddy Roy. He needed the carb clearance and I am a sucker for louvered hoods.

I have been hunting for a pair of these tail lights for a year. Finally scored a nice pair with brackets. I might swap these beds around for a while.

A quick mock up, I want them low and tight

It's good to see that old truck coming back to life. When it first became available, I wanted it but someone else had dibs. It's looking good. Keep us posted on your progress.

I'm sorry to say this truck has been dismantled and the parts passed on to many other Luv trucks including my 72 with its fresh 9 inch swap. I had many plans for this truck but couldn't pull off 2 trucks in the current state of things. This was a bad ass luv and I was lucky to have had it.

Talk to Fabian, He mentioned that he had one waiting to be picked up by you sitting in his yard.
