I've had some be a pain for a bit but never had one I couldn't eventually get to together. If you have a Micrometer you might want to check the tranny shaft then measure the pilot bering in the Crankshaft. Make sure there are no burrs on either component. Are you getting all the way together and stopping at that point or is it not even going through the Clutch? If so the re-align the clutch and give it another try. I haven't read back through all the post but did you put the original crankshaft back in the engine when you rebuilt it or is it a new crankshaft? I'm just trying to bounce a few things around to see if any of these work. Let us know. Good luck

By the way, looks like you had a good first trip in the blazer.

mine was a bit of a pain to get in too. you gotta make sure the tranny and shaft are lined up just right for it to slide in smoothly. took me and my dad giving it a bit of push-realign-push-realign-final shove... to get mine in.

Well i just went and bought a 1975 k5 blazer....I should have invested the money into the luv.....I got side tracked from the luv because the blazer is 4x4 and running! Then i drove it to church...OMFG gas milage sucked....So i got to get the luv running..And sell the blazer probably..

I only paid $1400 for the blazer then spent about $400 on misc parts....And i can prob sell it for about $2000-$2500 pretty easy....

But if i did anything to the luv it would prob be a toyota axle's front and rear with 4:10 gears 5 inch lift and 33/12.50/r15 with the luv motor and an r1 carb set up, header with 2.5 inch exhaust, racing seats with 5 point harness and a roll cage.

But once i sell the blazer i got to find a dif car/truck so i can haul my 8 month son around...

Yea i figured with this set up i could drive it as a daily driver and get good gas milage and off road it at the same time.

(The dream luv)
This is what i would want to do if i do try to make the luv a real 4x4.
Motor specs:
Bored 30 over
head shaved 20 thousand
header
2.5 inch exhaust
r1 carb set up
electric fan

Transmission and axles:
Either leave the stock 4 speed or swap to a 5 speed.
Toyota axle front and rear with 4:10 or 4:56 gearing.

Tires/rims:
15 inch aluminum wheels.
33/12.50/r15 or 35/12.50/r15 (i would rather stay with 33s)

Lift:
All spring lift/No blocks.
Rancho 9000 shocks.
Dual steering stabilizer.

Interior:
2 bucket seats with 5 point harness.
Roll cage.

And then i would be done for now.

so far im thinking my dream build is gonna consist of (to make it more streetable and driftable) i would love a built 4x4 but i have dirtbikes to go beat the hell out of i need my truck to get me to work!

the dream...
*engine
G180 block.
g200 head (bigger valves and lower compression for higher boost).
impulse forged pistons, rods & copper head gasket
eletronic ignition and megasquirt ECU
custom intake w/fuel injectors
high pressure fuel pump and lines
turbo exhaust manifold with wastegate dump into downpipe.
t3/t4 or t28 turbocharger (10lb+ boost a bit more once its dialed in completely)

*drive
5 speed swap
possible conversion to 2wd W/impulse 3.9 LSD

*interior
race seats
fiberglass dash
partial roll cage
(currently wiring up my stereo.. not much but eh. 10" sub between/behind the seats and an 8" sub under each seat, w/6" door speakers and 600w amp. in a luv it should be more than enough for my dubstep needs X^D
**************************************************
one of these days lol.

i guess we will see how eachothers projects end up! keep with the updates, i will try and do the same.
