Hello guys from Greece.
I am trying to restore my dad's luv.It is an 1980 rwd greek import with a greek made bed.
It is in a pretty bad shape cause of the rust.
I am looking for a good bed and if not i will repair this one.
Also both driver's and passenger's floor are rusted.
Anybody knows of what other cars radiator fits to luv.
Also anywhere i can find rebuilt kit for the nikki carb?
Here are some pics of what i've done far.

it s the timing cover.Manual says that head and sump must get out in order to remove it but i read here some guys saying that is possible doing it on the car without removing the head.
I would love a swap but the v8 here are ultra rare engines.

In the US, there wasn't a G161Z option so not many of us know anything about them.

Send oldestisuzuist a PM. He might know something about this motor. Or he might know someone who does.

Today i put back the timing cover with a new oil pump.I set the pump's mark as the manual says but although the shaft is not parallel with the front of the engine.
Bacause i am not planning getting the cover out again if i change the ignition wires among the cylinders will that be ok or no?

I recently did a timing cover, and if I'm not mistaken the distributor will be a tooth off

Not sure on that, but when I did all that I had the engine out and on a stand. It seems to me that it would be easier to do it with the engine out of the car. Especially when it is something so important with the timing and the oil pump

In the end i removed just the oil pump from under the car and put it back the right way.
Bought a set of new spark plugs and wires and i ve noticed that the main wire from the coil to the distributor leaks current. It hitted me a couple of times.
I ve used a multimeter and it shows 1volt when i grounded it.Same with the old wires.
Any ideas what the cause could be?
