So, Ive been building my Luv since the beginning of last year. That's kind of a long time for me, because usually i rush to get things done. Either way here it goes.
So i bought my first 1979 4x4 Luv as a running project and was planning on selling a Nissan pick up i had to have money for it. But i got in a wreck which the cop that didn't see it called it my fault, so i got no insurance money. So i sold the Luv i had to get a decent Subaru.
After i got a steady job I bought a barely running 76' off a friend, whose boss had given it to him. I had planned on just fixing this one up till it ran even with all the rust. Until i spotted a 75' Mikado at the local junkyard, which i bought the next day. The 75' barely had rust on it for being a 30 year old car anyway. Inside it, it had the original purchase receipt from 75' and all the registrations up to about 2001. I had also ended up buying my old 79' back off the guy i sold it to so i could reclaim some of the parts i had put on it. So now Ive got 3 Luvs sitting at my parents house.
The plan now is to take the bed and cab off the 76', rebuild and repaint the frame and suspension/steering/brakes. Take the bed and cab off the 75', paint it all, do a little rewiring and then put them on the 76' frame. Then take one of the engines, completely rebuild it and redo some wiring, then drop it in a see what happens. I don't have pics now but should this weekend. Thanks for taking the time to read my novel...
