I would say you got a good deal. I don't think it looks too bad.

got a carb off ebay,it said it was a weber copy by holley, they failed to mention the linkage is the reverse of a normal weber!so I robbed some parts off an old hitachi ground on it and drilled it to accept the cable on the opposite end.bent the tabs on my redline adapter 180 cut it in half and made it longer.the cable is stretched pretty tight so I will have to find a longer one in the future.

maybe a v8 in a few years, want to see how I like a hopped up 4 banger. lowered it almost 2.5 inches the other day!! have to take out the stoppers up front and fab a plate.been having wierd fuel del. issues, the pump says 2.5-4 psi, when mounted near the tank will only run the engine for 30 seconds or so.through testing discovered that truck runs fine with pump up near eng. going to mount on fender well rather than spend 40-60 bucks on a stronger pump and regulator.after that tags and insurance.hope to be driving it soon!!

thanks,I shop auto zone pretty regularly.the problem is I have a motorcraft weber copy and can't find out what the proper fuel p.s.i. is.I believe a weber is usually 3.5 . so I dont know if I should replace my pump and if so should I go with a 2.5 to 4 p.s.i. or the 5 - 9 p.s.i. model? I would rather not have to buy a new pump if poss.feels like just throwing $ at it which I'm about ready to do

I will be borrowing a pressure gauge tomorrow   should the pressure stay constant? if not what is an acceptable low pressure reading?
