Well guys i tried as hard as i could to find a decent Luv to build and i couldn't find one worth it . All were either to far gone with rust or just beat to death . Now that i bought this truck there will be a hundred of them for free LOL . I was searching Craigslist this week and happened across this little gem . After playing phone pingpong for a while with the owner we got together and knew where we were money wise . I have been working nights and got off at 5 AM . I slept til about 9 and hooked up the trailer and made the 1.5 hr trip . Got there and was really not to fired up about the little truck til i meet the family who owned it . A young newly wed couple Gabrial , Christine & there 9 month old son ( whos name escapes me ) . We talked about the truck mostly and it began to grow on me . By the end of the looking i ask " None of my buisness , but what are you gonna do with the money ? " His reply , " i really didn't want to sell it , but if i do it will pay off my son hospital bills" . SOLD . I ended up paying $1400 for it and drove it on the trailer . Anyway hope ya'll don't kick me out for crossing over .

It is a 1987 SWB with 2.5 4 cyl & 5 speed . Power steering and brakes with A/C . Gonna build a street truck and keep it a street truck . Here are a few shots of it and some of the pile of parts in the garage .

I'd luv to do this.......You got it for a cheeseburger and a drink of choice and it's not a 406 anymore but I'm still all motor. I may make it back to the track by then hopefully but not too sure with my sons baseball schedule.

It's gonna . Just got a call from the machine shop and he said 2 holes won't clean up at .030 and one won't clean up at .040 . I told him " sleeve'em all the spray will seal the rings " . Looks like 2 sleeves since i already spent $700 on pistons . Got the trans lined up it is a 73' truck th350 . It's gettin soft parts and a shift kit now . Bought the converter , 3200 with balloon plates . Doin a carb rebuild on the 750 Demon this weekend . Will be working on this thing all next week ( long change/ shift worker) to tie up loose ends . Friday will be "on the road/ lunch with friend / machinist " day so pics will follow . Got 2 Crawfish boils this weekend so monday i'll be at it full bore .

CT , by the time we get side by side you will know every part in and on this truck . Tell me 2 things . CID & Does it have a transbrake . If you have a transbrake we need a sportsman tree . If both on a foot brake any tree is fine .

Really feels good to be back . I know alot of you guys probably get tired of my long post about my junk , but i am having fun with it .
