For future reference, when one axle seal is leaking the other side can't be far off from doing the same. The good news is I know what I am doing this time and it is a piece of cake. It was just starting to leak and not soaking down the brakes like the other side did. 8)

How do the axle splines look? They told me when I bought those axles 20 years ago that they wouldn't last on the street.

The splines only show just enough wear to take off the black anodizing on the axle but nothing you can feel running your hand across them. I would say they look pretty good for their age!

I finally scored some factory side mirrors and got them on today. These were hard to track down.

Gotya. Being a little too shiny would look off. They look good with that blue too

I kept walking by this hood all week and decided to clean it up and spray some trim black on it. It is at least 5lbs lighter than the other louvered hood I have. I am going to put it on the truck after work this week.

I bailed on the louvered hood after a trial fit. It will work with some adjusting, but I didn't feel like dealing with it right now.

So I broke out the polisher and took 2 years of abuse off the paint. This paint job is 26 years old, and you cannot beat a good old single stage paint job. I went from a satin finish back to shiny in a few hours of work. The pad took its share of paint off and can see some primer in a few spots but I am happy with it.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I love the KMET sticker. I still have a few laying around.

You have original KMET stickers? They have to be worth something since the station has been off the air since '87. I have some cassettes somewhere of the "Fish Report with a Beat". Now that was good radio. 8)

Hell yes, several KMET stickers and even some KLOS US 83 stickers too. Don't forget paraquat Kelly. I think we are getting old.

This looks pretty cool. Do you still have this set up? what type of metal is this? is it galvanized or stainless steel. I work in the sheet metal plant and I could get my hands on galvanized a 60 or galaxy I might do the same thing to my door panels

I used a sheet of Aluminium. I traced the old door panels and cut them out. I do still have them in the truck. I changed the glove box and speedo back to wood grain because when the sun would hit the dash just right it was blinding.
