Looks great. I had an '88 Turbo Coupe for a long time. Great mileage and power when needed. I love turbos.

Give us a run through on the installation. What problems you may have encountered, what you would do differently now that it's finished, etc. And yes, how does it run?

I bought a black T-Bird Turbo Coupe new in 1986...
I loved the sound of the turbo!

Nice job!

you really need to get an intercooler on it.... your wasting power without it

but the swap looks really really cool!

Well thanx for the comments on the swap... And the truck runs real good with the swap.... Once the turbo spools up it picks up and go.... I love how it sounds when the turbo spools.... And it's much better with the 5 speed... But one thing I encountered that was a problem was the rear gears... The 4.56 are to steep.... I would only be able to take off in second... Cuz 1st was to much... That's why I decided 2 go with the 3.42 gears out of the pup... And the swap was pretty straight forward... The only tricky part was to modefy the computer harness.... Cuz u gotta know what needs power and ground... And I also had to run all fuel injection fuel tuber lines.... And also had to modefy a braket to get my clutch 2 work.... But I'm gla with the end results... Now I will be installing a front mount intercooler so it can run cooler.... :)

here is how i ran my intercooler.

with an external blow off valve does it run fat during decel?

the 4.56 is to steep i have the same setup but the larger tire allows some wiggle room. where can i get a set of gears? or am i stuck with finding a junkyard donor?
