Easiest way to chop a top is to have a donor cab and doors. The filler for the top can be cut out of the top of donor, door window parts can be cut from the door the same goes for any b-pillars or A pillars too. Of course don't use a good cab for this.

The exception is a angle chop, which is almost a whole different thing.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

I don't know if you can build a sort of poor mans safety glass. Get two double thickness pieces of glass cut to fit your window. Glue with window tint between the layers. you could apply tint to the inside and outside of the glass too. I would talk to the glass shop that cuts your glass.

If not lexan. I do not like lexan because it scratches so easy.
Some Chop Tops will find a smaller window frame that will fit the back of their cab after the chop. Weld that into place after removing the stock window frame. It will take using a tape measure to see it it will fit, but a good eye to imagine what it will look like. You would be using real safety glass

Maybe a 60's truck small rear window?
