hey guys. great site. I figured i would finally post up my 78 DedicateD luv. Purchased about a month ago and hopefully will either debute at layed out at the park or heritage 2k10. I will be trailering it home in two weeks to start the bagging and body drop. I plan to make the bed lay even and trim the rockers untill they match the bed. Any way heres a pic of it the day I bought it after it sat for 10 years in a guys driveway. And a couple of after last weekend, i decided to drop it static untill i get it home, it just sat way to high so i monoleafed and removed the torsions. It wont be driven like that just trailered to my garage to get bd and bags.

yea, i got less than 400 in it running. but unfortanatly the fuel pump bit the dust on me after the first joy ride. so i am going to get a fuel cell and electric pump since its getting bagged any way.

I'm gonna run dhr control arm setup with s-10 spindle and swap out rear end too. Seems alot easier just to swap to 5 lug while it's apart and not wish I had later. How does the older s-10 rear ends fit in these little beast, mainly just wondering about width since I'll be running 4 link.

im actaully running a ford 9inch shortened housing and axles. i believe it was an 1 inch and a half on each side. And mainly we did that bc the way the inside of the bed comes in and would rub on my wheels. And im running 20X10's in the back

yea the other section would be cool, our club has alot of sick rides we could post up in there for ya'll. We are building a static dragging 93 ranger, and a 72 datsun pl521 in our ashland chapter. and our club locations are building a bd sqaure body ranger with 347stroker, a 79 courier, a full size chevy, mazda b, s-10 bagged, bagged civic, galaxie, and turbo excort just off the top of my head. and if your talking about my sons splitting image of me talkin about the dogs. they are kinda like my neices lol. those are the guy who owns the ranger dogs.

thanks for sharing your build of the luv. the pup are cool. i like pugs. but look foward for the pic and the progress. thats a good price. I got my 75 for 300, and my 78 for 100, and well I had to pay more for my daily driver 79 for 800. but Im with every one with a non LUV builds by LUV owners section, theres a squareback that I might get and a cool looking wagon, i dont know what it is but as soon as i get a hold of the owner Im going to try to get it. and a 1972 sort bed c-10 hopefully. but I dig the baby moons. with white walls right! :ebiggrin

Does anybody on here know the roof height laying doors on these trucks. I'm gonna go ahead and lay door so I don't have to redo it later, and just wondering what my height will be.
