the headers i picked up at a swap meet, guy told me that he had them on an s10 that had the v-8 swap, so im assuming that they are the s10 swap headers.... the driver side loops out for the steering and it seems to work out for this truck too. Thats about all the info i have for them, that and i picked them up for 50 bucks....

This look great but i have a question. Do you plan to brace the rear "box" assembly to the original chassis? Seems to be a lot of twisitng stress on that one square tube running side to side.

love your build between you and wickedmayhem,winerfresh...yall are making me take my build to a lil further extremes just in order to stay in the ballpark..hopefully some day ill beable to build a full frame and tackle the task of putting an irs rear end in mine..till then its it the regular frame and a boart load of crazy body mods..hope to have mine on here soon but not untill i get the biggest part of the body mods done

the actual back half of my frame is about 2 1/2 feet inside of my original frame. the 2x3 box that i started with fit inside of the luv frame. I drilled some holes down the inside and outside of the factory frame and plug welded it in. ill try to get up some pics of that if i can find some.

This is my first build from ground up, so any pointers that anyone may have slide them to me.

Can you send me an e-mail, effie_1953@yahoo.com, so I can send some drawings to you about my concern? I just can't get pics to post in a message. Maybe you can post them for others to chime in on. Thanks..

Amazing... I'd like to put IRS in a 4X4, but lack the time and funds.

Again, amazing. 8O 8)

Camber question. How did you determine the ride height for zero camber? Once you add the weight of the truck itself, I would think the rear end would squat a bit giving you positive camber while running. I plan to do this same rear end again (this time finish it) but will have the vertical spacing of the tubes parallel to each other prevent any change in camber. Again, this is just my observation and I do tend to over think things a lot and right now is the best time for me to get as many answers to possible problems I may encounter during my build late next year.
Still one very nice looking installation you have there. Several things I never thought of doing can be seen in your pics. What size heim joints did you decide on?

my guess is you just air up or down to get back to zero camber if it gets lower with more waight add a lil more air to get back up that is what i do with my k-5 jimmy it has triple bags in it with 40" tires and when i put more in it i go up or down it has 15"lift lol dont mean to hijack

That makes sense. It didn't come to me to do that. My plans are to use air shocks though. I do want to keep the camber as close to zero as possible through out the tires vertical travel. The roads here in Louisiana, well, suck!!!!! Seeing the use of heim joints simplifies the design and installation.
