How did I miss this build. Looks awsome, refreshing to see something different.

@kertap - i removed all the stock mounting points and cleaned the rails. then put the motor and trans in the truck leveled and set it back as far as i could. luckily the stock sr20 pan cleared the center link. then i fabbed from the rails to the stock sr mounts with 1/8" plate. i used a ca18 i had to mock everything up and start fabbing the motor mounts

@jgilk1 - the shifter moved back about 6". i think i installed the shifter backwards so the bend went forward to clear the bench seat. i now have a short shifter and 180sx bucket seats

Hey mate just wondering how the ute is going. And was just wondering if u can help me out with a few questions. I was wondering how u went with the fitting of gear box and what u did for diff. If it would be possible if u could snap a few photos for me of all mounts and any fab work u did to shimmy in the red rocket. I have been undecided about which jap motor to put in. And i had a sr in the past so thought be good idea. Thumbs up for ur work mate hope its going all good. Thanks

How hard was it to wire everything up? And mount the engine?
I know you've posted pictures, but I'm honestly having a hard time seeing the brackets and such.

Thanks.

not hard. cut the luv engine mounts off. set the motor in place with wood underneath the engine i used the shifter machined block on the tranny to level side to side. i used cardboard to make a template for the engine mounts then transferred to 1/8" plate. i also had to fab a tranny mount. this is a cool and easy swap

the wiring was abit tricky. i used relays to run this harness separate from the luv's chassis harness. you dont need to chop up the sr20 harness just tie into the battery connection portion. Image

Good information to me. I will need to do this on my 13b FD swap.
