Did it get there under it's own power?

The project looks incredible so far. QUESTION...what kind of headliner is that? I need to do something with mine and would like to know what that is you did there if you wouldn't mind sharing.

Maybe we should do a writeup on this, it gets asked a lot. Here goes-and this is for USA vehicles

LUVs had: 4.56, 4.10, 3.73. Your 72 is a 4.56. Later manuals had 4.10, some autos were 3.73 in the later days.
Some Pups had 3.73 and 3.42 (3.42 is the diesel MPG model).
Isuzu Impulse had 3.90 with a limited slip in manual trans.

All LUV 72-80 will interchange, and I have a 83 Pup rear in mine which is 3.73 that bolts in. I've heard of people getting later Pup rears where the driveshaft yoke doesn't match. Fortunately when I got mine there was also a LUV rear in the yard that I could compare to.

Please explain further.

Do you have any more pictures of what you did???

I assume its 1/8" board with some sort of material stuck to it then just glued driectly to the underside of the roof. Is that right???

Cheers, Bob.

mu son and i made a cardboard template of the opening. transfered that to the board with an added 1/4" to the perimeter.

then sprayed glued the thin carpet to it and forces it into position. probably have to break it to get it out

Looks like it's going to be one helluva rig when it's all done. Thanks for the info on the headliner. One more question...is it just held in by the pressure of the extra 1/4 inch you added to the template? I need to do something with mine and I might have to borrow your idea for my own Luv.

The Kid's doing a great job! Can't wait to see the completed project.

yup the extra 1/4" is to hold it in

i had to make a revision to it after driving for a month it started to slide back and started to hang in the middle front. so i split som small 1/4" or 1/8" rubber hose and slid the hose over the lip in a couple places, adds a little pressure to it holding the carpet in place.. small problem fixed. cant even tell......now on to the sr20 installation and the quest for some different gears for the rear

One very important question. How much will you rent your son out for? He's pretty darn good! I'll give him free room and whore, I mean board too!!!!!!

So how big is that FMIC I was looking at at a 6x27.
What kind of WHP are you making and is controllable.

yup 6x27x2.5 FMIC
stock horse power for the s13 motor is 225 at 7 psi im running about 10 so maybe 255hp at the crank so about 200 at the wheel.

ive been comuting it the last 2 days 70 miles round trip took a little gettin use to the turbo kickin in about 4000. glad i havent put a posi in it yet as it just started rainin. but it does yank hard through out the gears pulls very well on top of the gears. i just havent found a place to test out the 75k redline. i am extremley happy with how it turned out driving it is easy and smooth surprisingly torquey and its nice to know you got that 10psi boost in your back pocket to smash on import cars.
the funniest thing so far was a del sol with stickers and probably some good bolt on mods stop with me at the the light i smiled at him rev my luv he took off hard i let him get about a car length smashed the pedal and waited for him at the next light. the look on his face was priceless.
