Here is what I fabricated for a grill. I combined the looks of a tube grill with the driving light set up of a Mustang. Two six inch diameter PVC couplings, 15 feet of 1/2" diameter conduit, a stick of 1/2" by 4" PVC moulding, and a bunch of screws for under $20. It did take a toll on me physically (I am not supposed to be doing this type of work as my health is still pretty crappy), but you only live once. When I can get back outside I will complete the actuall mounting, clean and paint it gloss black, and tie the lights into the harness. For the picture I simply set it in position.

OK, here is the finished grill. Just need to wire the lights up. One pic shows the hood up and the top tube missing. The tube is attached to the hood allowing it to open. If the tubes look bent, they are. They have been curved to follow the hood. I had to V-block them since I don't have a tube roller. Big pain!. The lights are set 1/4" back from the buckets to allow for cooling air to flow around them and for aiming adjustments.

Back in the day they were mounting eight lights in the grills of vans. A movie titled Mother, Juggs and Speed had an ambulance like that.
Here is what I get with the high beams on. I should be able to see everything crossong these country roads now!

Looks nice and I like the ingenuity, I would have never thought of using conduit to make one. Affordable as well.
