Got to mock up my 350 today, used the hooker frame mounts and a short motor mount, I still need to get or fab a trans mount, My (new to me)block huggers are on it also after I loosened up the steering shaft for driver side, but the pass side dropped right in. Oh-yeah and I cut the front clip off, Slowly but surely coming along :D

Iv got a th350 from a full size truck, and the firewall I just took a big hammer to it, around the area where the distributor will end up at, that was fun!!
I have learned to just take your time and have patience, and plan things out. Mine has been a five year project in the making starting with original 4 cyl, then to a buick V6 (for sale by the way) and now the 350
i beleive it will be worth the wait :ebiggrin

its kinda late now but if you would have used a points style distributer the only thing you would half to do is remove the hood latch to get the distributer in/out then put it back on or just hood pins if you dont want to take it on and off

Yes, I will be running an edelbrock 650 w/an edelbrock intake, and possibly a new cam (still looking into that)
I agree a points ignition would fit better, but I have had better luck with the hei system, and its pretty close to fitting, that and I am not afraid of using a sawzall to make the room.

Oh-yeah also got a set of m/t aluminum valve covers, that I have painted chevy orange. so what you see in the pic's is only for mock-up, as the title states, once it is all good to go, it will be out with old in with the new shiny stuff :D
