Saw the other thread so I started this one to give me something to shoot for. Who has the fastest leafspring Luv? Post times and altitudes. Motor/nitrous

Mine has gone 7.20s on street tires and pump gas at 1900ft....on motor

Not site members, but 2 local guys have stock supsension trucks, with caltrac type bars, one runs 5:80's, and the other 5:60's. These are 1/8 mile times...

It is a 511 block, 23 degree heads. All the details I can see when I look at it. It has been extremly lightened...

511 block?...that is the weak 400 and it will break....u sure he aint spraying? Lots of money poured into something that can break....not saying it isnt possible but the true 10.5s around here are running 5.80s and the outlaws are running 5.0s..ALL spraying or turbos and money isnt a problem....I have seen some pretty trick NOS systems.....

He's not spraying. It's just light. I run a 6:16 on motor in mine, and mine is heavier than stock, my motor in his would do 5:50's. I ran 8's in the quarter for years on my last 511 block, it's still together...

I have a v8, roll cage, rims on back are heavier than stock, the 9 inch and discs are heavier, the custom driveshaft is also added weight. I have all the stock glass and regulators, bumpers front and rear, etc. Plus, I am a lardo. Mine is about 800 lbs heavier than his. At a 100 lbs a tenth, mine would be in the 5:50 range at his weight. That is on motor...

Here is the qualifiying ladder for Topeka, Ks . This is outlaw 10.5 , which is run on a "W" tire . The 2 classes you are talking about are true 10.5 classes it is a smaller tire .

Now back to leaf springs and fast times .
