also if you ARE dumb enough to try and cut the rear glass with a "death wheel" (cut off wheel) ...it WILL explode 8O

however...it may take a minute after you make a test cut. while you are standing back smoking a cig. scaring the living shit out of you 8O

needlees to say i am going to HOPEFULLY!!!!! find someone to properly cut my one and only windshield.

Not the only thing my tax dollars paid i was bagging groceries today because we were a little short handed and there is a lady that comes in my line with a full shopping cart first the three wic checks then 300 dollars in Quest (food stamps) and her four kids of course are yelling and screaming well while she is waiting to be finished one of her friends walks buy and asks are those new? and i make a weird look and she says yes i just got them done im still baffeled and the her friend says well they look great much bigger and at that point I knew breast implants 6,000 dollars she spent on new boobs and yet she still gets all her food for free. sorta made me mad when she asked for help out

It seems like you could save some time and fabrication by getting a second top from a doner truck and combining the two instead of having to add in strips of metal.

i will tell you one thing cat. i have a much greater respect for the guys back in the day who done this "old school". i couldn't even imagine doing all this metalwork with out a MIG, sazsall, electric and air cut off and grinders, plasma torch and a $400 welding helmet. 8O

Larphead, did you say a $400 welding helmet??? I guess I'm waaaaaay old school. I recently updated form the "old school" flip down style to an auto darkening.....I paid way less than $400 for it though. I do enjoy the other "new and updated equipment" I have aquired in the last 15 years or so.

I think the rear window could be cut with one of those high pressure water jets. IIRC, I could not remember where I saw it.... DYI blooy. Like they said.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
