Somehow my Trans guy missed something in my Trans. 3-4 shift slips bad. Pulled it back out Sunday. Dropped it off same day. He's gonna go all back through it. Told him no rush since I just sent my converter back to yank to be restalled. Had a 4000 stall before, gonna go with 3200 this time around. My free restall within a year of buying it is almost up so I may as well get it done while I can. Also ordered a better Trans pan with drain plug, new shifter cable, and a few other things.

Havent kept up with this thread much lately. But after I got the trans in, I was having troubles with it. Turns out 3rd gear clutches were burnt somehow.. Either way my trans guy took good care of me and got it all fixed up. I sent the converter back for a 3200 since the 4000 was way to big and i wanted to make sure everything was right. Got it all back together today and all seems well so far.

Wicked,
you ever take the truck to the local car show in League City on friday nights? I'm right down the road from you in San Leon, and would like to see it in person.

Truck is at a stand still. Spun a cam bearing. Block is junk. Will be getting another 5.3 soon and having it gone through and I'm going to build a turbo setup for it. Within the next month or so I will be buying parts for it.

And to add something positive to this thread, ive been tinkering with my crew cab. Finished bagging it about a month ago.

77 impala. Buddy has had it for 7-8 years. Pretty rusted out. Was air bagged with a mild 350. He stripped it and we scrapped it since the body was trash.

Scratched the turbo idea. Just ordered a 408 stroker short block from texas speed.
