Ok some or most of you most likely have seen the pictures of the 2 Luvs I am getting on my past post, but i figured i would bring everything togeather onto one thread and keep updating this one while the project grows.

For everyone who has not seen the pictures yet, here are the ones of my "new" 75 Luv in the condition I got it (plus more parts that were just being stored in the shed)

Here is the 1978 Parts Luv i bought how I am missing a back window, a couple pieces of the interior, engine and transmission.

Well I just order some parts from Ebay, and now waiting for them to come in.
20 Circut Wire Kit

Poppers (how the kid i bought the 75 shaved the door handles)

Emergency Door Popper open switch.

This weekend I will take a lot more pictures of everything.

Also here is what I am thinking about painting the truck to Look like when I am done.

OK i got the Luv yesterday, and it was in great shape for sitting around with only primer and sitting in the snow. It had some "upgrades" on it that I was never told about till I showed up.
*Cowl Hood
*Swing away tailgate (to the right).

From Friday-Saturday I had worked on the 2 motors I have and noticed one was a G180 and the other is a G200.

*G180 the crankshaft needs fixed (bearing went bad on one of the pistons)

*G200 have not tore apart yet (will be tearing it down this coming weekend).

Sorry no pictures forgot my camera at my parents house.

I was wondering what is the difference between the Isuzu G180 and the G200?

vERY MUCH THE SAME. i BELIEVE THE g200 HAS A BIT LARGER BORE/STROKE/ DIFFERENT HEAD, i KNOW THE T-CHAIN TENSIONER IS DIFFERENT.

 I guess I bumped my caps lock button. I don't want to retype it. So deal with it or I'll really yell. :P

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

You know the motor mounts for the '75 are different than '76 on up so neither of those engines will be a drop in/bolt up job.

Best of luck,
Eric Q.

I know that, but how i have the truck it came out of, it should not be to hard to make it work in the 75.

Just won a Garmin C340 GPS on ebay for $82 after shipping and insurance
Image

and then went on amazon.com and bought an external antenna for it for $20.

I will be mounting this over the original spot for the radio, how my sound system works off of 2 amps and an Ipod and nothing else. So to the right half it will be for the GPS while the other half will mount up the Ipod.

Congrats on your purchase. That sounds like a good price.

Ok i took apart the G200 over the weekend. The crank will need redone just like the G180, except 2 of the jugs are bad on the G200 instead of only 1 in the G180. I was wondering if the G180 and G200 are the exact same crank. How the G180 crank will be cheaper to fix, but i want to use the G200, how everything else on it is in better shape.

Sorry no pix again...forgot camera when i went to Workshop (the motors are in my fathers garage instead of the workshop).

If did bring some of the parts back with me that I know I will not be needing for the 75 so I will put them on the classifieds on here.

Fiancee last night told me she wanted to move to Seattle once we get married...first thing i thought of is...YAY I will be able to find all the part I would need for my Luv, and more Luvs in the future!

She knew I am having a hard time finding selected parts and there are things I would like but just not going to pay for the shipping to get it (like a step side bed), but did not know it would be a whole lot easier to get one out there. I told her that and she just  at me

nope, or that i got a few mud flap girls and other female parts that will be place on the truck when I am done, that i am watching on ebay like hood ornament and a few other things.

I was wondering what you guys think about these wheels there 16x8
Image

Let me know, I might be moving into a place where I am saving $300 a month, which means I get to spend $300/month more on my love :D
so i will be doing more upgrades then originally planed if this goes through.

Nice wheels But spending 300 a month on your love means you won't be spending 300 a month on your Luv :P :P :P

thanks

Does anyone on here do air brushing? I am not good at it, and I am planning on buying a hood ornament and I would rather get it painted then re chromed.

It will be a nude girl hood ornament near the 50's.
