camera is dead so no pics yet, I did some looking underneath and it has a 3 inch body lift sitting on some bald 31s. The front fenders have a flare to them that my 2wd does not, also found the front driveshaft behind the bench seat. I drained the oil pan and about a gallon of water came out and NO oil. The bed has alot of bondo on it on passenger side, Id say at least 1/8" thick. Still all and all for 100 bucks im happy its a new toy to tinker with. Oh and it has the pace setter headers on it already as well.

Sorry for this slight bump.

I just bought a 1978 Luv today, will eventually get pictures up. I noticed as I was shoveling my 2' of snow (Chicago), an older Isuzu Rodeo drove by. I sort of "blocked" out the back portion of it, and swore it looked VERY similar to the Luv I have -- I do realize that there is an Isuzu truck based off of this as well.

As it seems, the parts for the Luv are rather rare -- I wonder if the older Rodeos (perhaps even up to the mid 80's) share components with the Luv? As a quick observation, the taillights looked the same -- I realize that doesn't say much for the frame components though.

The one I bought is a bit beat up, the frame on the left side (at the leaf perch) is practically rotted through, plenty of "cancer" all around -- but the paint isn't in bad shape. Like I said, I'll post a topic with pictures once I get it all sorted out.

That's starting to look pretty good. It ought to make a nice little puddle jumper.
