flatbed looks good on it too hows it do with that trailer behind it

I like the flatbed look, and you can use them way more than a bed. Haha Some crazy hay runs. And O its not running yet, i just droped the trailer on it to see how much the rear shackles would flex back, cuz the flatbed was maked for a short bed and my truck was a long box so i had to cut the frame, and its cut to the shackles. To make the drop for my rear of my flatbed i had to see how far the leafs and shackles would flex so they didnt hit my rear drop. Haha
And will i need the explorer leafs and im gona do Air shocks from JcW. and that should help alot.

heck yeah should keep it a lot more stable with the weight over the back
should be a mean little truck when its done... you could probably find a supercharger to adapt to that 2.9 would be great for the power to pull that trailer

haha Yea, i dont plan on pulling the trailer any more than i have to. Im hauling it over to Eastern montana to my anuts with our dually cummins, (you dont even feel that its there) this spring on my spring break from college and then ill be making the trip over with my luv in late may. after i get out of college. So the luv will be my Daily Driver for a while! So I have to get the luv goin as fast as i can. But ive been able to work on it almost every day so stuff is moving pretty fast so i really dont see wy i wont have it painted by dec.
I got my drivers door primed today! Fenders down and now my doors are down! just my hood and the cab to go! Alot of them wil have to be sandblasted any way so that makes it real easy!

I got my Dimond plate light holders up 2day and a trip to Big R and i got Wll 4 of my LEDs lol Need 2 more reds and 2 clears for my back up! The Clears are twis as much as the red?

But i was gona do chain arcossed to the bars but we didnt big enough chain so its gona be just bars (just like the pic thats up above) I think itll be pretty cool! ive only seen a handfull of luvs with flatbeds on them. One from a guy up here in spokane, he made himself wasnt bad. But nothing like mine. that steel wasnt easy to cut out. Did it all with just a shop chop saw! so It can be done, Just make sure your measurements are right! (Steel can always be welded back on and recut)

Well i pretty much got my Headache rack all done. Its just little things and its done, Now i can start on my hood and my rear bumper! heres a pic

I Used chain for the cross pieces and then i welded fencing nails to them to make them look like barb wire! they done look to bad! Im happy with how it turned out.

Well I should of got more done, but ive been sicker than a dog the last week, and slacking off a bit. Its hunting season aswell Well I got started on my rear bumper, and i got my tow-package on, When i pull the flatbed to finsh the welding and paint it ill weld the tow-package on all the way. I just put it straight to frame. Just Got to make my welds good!

O and i got Clear back-up Leds, Oval ones they will set you back about 100 bucks for just 2. It was 200 for all Leds, 6 red,2 clear. They are a Lot! But I just had to do Leds! Heres the pics

Well I havent had had a whole lot of time to work on it, Had to rip apart our 96 cummins front axle to change out the seals. Wish dodge had put more thot into the design of those.

An now my brothers 86 montero is in our shop. I got it for doing the seals on this jeep. 170 bucks for the seals and a day to change and it was mine. and my mom bought it from me for my bro, great first rig. haha No radio! and 5sp 4x4. not a bad little rig. but it had an ungodly raddle. that sounded like the clutch. Well who ever did a clutch job in it before me, ether over tighten or under tighten the flywheel bolts. When i pulled the trans back, i could move the flywheel back and forth with my hand about a 1/2in and one of the 6 bolts just fell out. haha So we had to drill out 3 and retab all of them, and new bolts from fasterns plus and she's ready to go! rememeber tuque them down right!

I got my rear drop pretty much done, just gota grind my welds fulsh and weld the backs. And i got my hood striped, its pretty beat up. but it can be fixed. there has been bondo on every pannel of this truck. right over the sky blue it was.

Well ive been lookin a gauges to, ugh they cost alot! not sure what im gona use yet.

I need some mirrors to! i think im gona use ford ones. Chevy truck ones didnt fit right. Are blazer ones smaller? i dont want to use tripod ones.

We final got my bro montero out of the shp and running!

got my hood down to metal, got mirrors! 21 bucks at Big R they look like there gona work good!

I also got my flat bed off and now after PB-blastering all the eye bolts and the U bolts for a month now! The came off nice and easy! PB-blaster is the Stuff! Works way better than WD-40 and it can be bot at walmart for half the price than at napa! Works great! I have to flip the center bolt around because the leafs were under the axle with the explorer and the ranger is over it. this is a bolt in swap. The ranger leafs have more arch but are way softer and pretty much go flat! the explorer leafs are a little longer and way harder. Im gona get them painted up and on tonight hopefully!

The Explorer leafs are on the right and the ranger are on the left.

Instead of pb blaster, look around for a product called Tri Flow, got mine at Ace hardware. Best I have ever ran across...

O yea? ill have to check that stuff out to! We had a sales person come to My diesel Class (In College) and he did the Eat threw a styrofoam cup. And that PB-blaster ate threw that cup in about 30 sec! Then on ive always used it. Ace in my area can be pretty spendy.

Well I got My New Leafs in! The explorer leafs add about 2.5 to 3in of new lift. Im hoping my flatbed makes it come down some! I dont want that rear end up above the front. and if that happends will i guss the explorer coils will go in, if my bed doesnt level it then the explorer coils should.

I just rattle canned them black, so they look good! Good enough for suspension. Live on dirt roads so nothing is gona stay rust free But Looks good Now!

Pics of it on. Ive been soaking the Eye bolts and the U-bolts for a good month They came off like butter! and went on like butter! Easy swap. Bolt in other than fliping the Center bolt around. I have 2.5in lift blocks to.

Huh i thought I had a picture of just the cab, and frame. but i guss not, i wanted to do before and after. olwell heres a pic of after. before the leafs were about straight the explorer leafs gave it alot of arch and lift.

Doesnt it look like the rear is up more? does to me
