i was thinking about lifting the back end up on my 77 2x chevy luv mikado. its got a 3spd automatic, but it goes like a bat outta hell. anyway, i wanna put shackles in the back and throw some small paddles on it. it only ways right under 1900 pounds. so i think it will go right along. anyone tried it???

ya, if you're not gonna run a paddle, i hear that AT's that are big and fat and wide, are the best for sand, you'll float on top a lot better than with a MT where you might dig down, well yoou WILL dig down, it jsut depends on if the sand is a little packed or not.. that's what my dad always says he ran on the dunes in Florence, Or. growing up was a big fatty almost drag slick tire. (not that he ever "grew up" lol) he actually used to drag race on the dunes when it ws sort of frozen and he said he beat a lot of hopped up 442/chevelles and whatnot in is VW, cus it was so light and had bigger non aggresive tires so they wouldnt dig on launch 8)
