you should buy my dana 30 front  , all you'd need to do is biuld shackles and spring mounts, the steering box just bolts to the frame, it has all the steering linkage, it came out of a '79 or '80,

but, anyways, a yota front is gen. $250-$350 for the axle hub-hub, then you have to get a drag link made (gen.$85 for weld in bungs, TR ends, and tube), and figure out what springs to use (waggy's 5/7 leafs are real good) then a d-line, if you do a square shaft it'll be cheap, a custom made shaft will be $200 - $450 depending on whether or not you do a long travel. shocks will have to be determined once you get it in and cycle the suspension (max./min.) a lot of what you're asking REALLY depends on what you want the finished product to do. do you want a super flexy rock crawler or something to DD and minimum trail use??? maybe tell us what you plan on doing with it and we can give a little more specific info.

honestly i would just pickup Boonie Busters D30 front. Its not quite as stout as a toy 8" but it will be plenty strong for a luv. You wont be able to beat that price...

x2 :D not just because i'm trying to sell it, but it definitely would be an easy project. and actually i might have a different set of springs you could use with it. because unless you pull a bunch of the leafs out of the pack that's on it now, it'll be a very stiff ride.

oh also, as far as super flexy DD, i used a set of wagoneer rears up front with a few extra leafs to hold up to the v8 weight. but what i was gonna say was, use nitrogen charged shocks if you can find some cheap ones. i was lucky enough to get a set of 4 for $80, they're the longest skyjacker makes( not that you'll need them that long, because every setup is different and it doesn't always pay to have the longest shocks out there). they handle very well on the road, as far as turns are concerned. and when i go wheeling i still get all the flex that the waggy's have to offer.

I'll be running Rancho RS5000s (probably 2 for each corner of the truck), mainly because they'll be free. A good leafspring to use is the Rancho 44044s (wagoneer 2" lift springs).

The waggy 44044's are good for the Luv setup, Isuzu guys swear by them for SAS. as far as shocks go another option would be Pro Comp ES9000's their a pretty good nitrogen shock(double tube I believe) that won't break the bank, they run about $36 a shock which isn't bad for a good all around shock. Axle wise, If you can get Booney's D30, it may not be the strongest, but it will more than hold up to the abuse of a 4 banger Luv, just don't run anything taller than a 35" tire with it, unless you like replacing axle shalfs and u-joints. If you're not going for Booney's D30 another axle you could go with would be a D44 from a Wagoneer, width wise it's perfect, and it has the pass. side diff, so that way you can use your stock t-case. and yes a performance cam will give you more power, why do you think they call it a "performance" cam???

you'll be fine with the brake lines, the only thing you need to do for the steering colum is to cut a 1 1/4" hole below the current one, there is a mounting plate included in the PA bodylift kit, and yes of course a 4x4 Luv will look good with a body lift, as far a tires go, yeah of course you can keep the surrent ones, it may look a little funny but so what, you can get bigger ones next time.

On the inside of the cab, yes, the kit comes with some spacers(but i didn't use them, didn;'t really need them) in the engine compartment, yes/no, the mounting plate that comes with the kit bolts to the stok location, but the steeing colum bolts to the mounting plate(which has 3 studs built into it, you bolt the colum's flange to this)
