My right fist. I got aggravated when I was putting a clutch in it. Oh well, the fenders are junk anyways.

Ok, I will jump in, thought I had posted this here before but guess I havent. I think this was one of the coolest 4x4 Luv's I have ever seen, tried to buy it till the guy told me he wanted $12K for it. 8O I was hoping 6 or 7 and he wasnt the guy who originally built it. This pic was from a show about 7 years before I seen it for sale and nothing had been changed on it when I looked at it when it was for sale.

we didn't get the Trooper over here until 84 and unfortunatly they didn't come with the LSD, the Impulse diffs will work, same thing with the later Troops got the 10/12 bolt combo with the 2.6, over here we got 4.30,4.56, 4.77, and the after market makes some 5.38's (very hard to get ahold of as they don't make them any more)

That 5.38 is out of and early one of these, Shuttle Bus.

They used the same diff but with a wider track, probably the same as the Impulse.

The ratios are just a play on two or three different pinion counts with two different crown wheels.

I wouldnt mind a 3.73 that you lot got in the autos to use in my luv. The 4.1 i got out of the 4 speed diesel will have to do i suppose.

Cheers. Bob.

You have your ratio's mixed up shipmate...

I'm not a huge 4x4 fan, but that's a sharp truck. Nice job!

yes the driver side pulls on the mount and that just tears the rubber mount in two. so i use chain to limit the travel to before it rips stuff. but it broke and torededed one up again.
