Hello all :ebiggrin
recently acquired a 79' Luv 4x4. wanting to fix it up to take into the mountains and go fishing/hiking/camping/4Wheeling (light)
the luv is mechanically sound and everything works. quite a bit of body rust. frame is in good shape, as is the engine.

the camper will be taken off. and might be used at a later date.
so I'm starting my build with the suspension. since the engine works. What I would like is about 2" from cranking the T-bars. Then maybe another 2" from a body lift. so, here are my questions.... 1) I would really like pictures (if anyone has) of using the Trooper upper control arm that helps resolving suspension travel from cranking the T-bars. 2) where can I get the body lift?
anythings helps . looking forward to becoming a part of the LUV community :eugeek :signanyone

The body lift is going to be a problem. Nobody makes one anymore, not even JCWhitney. I would look into a Toyota P/U body lift, the bolt length should be the same and the number of attachment points should be comparable as well. Don't quote me on that as I have no experience with Toyotas other than embarrassing them in my Jeep...

this is what I've got done so far. now I got to switch to the other side of the truck. there was more pics but couldn't get them to upload. (file size was to big).

I decided to wait on the body life for now, maybe in a few months I'll revisit the idea.

When I took the hub apart I stretched the retaining spring. finally got it all back together. just waiting for new brake pads.
