some more homework, on tire size
this assumes stock gearing of 4.10
Tire size___Effective ratio____To maintain stock ratio
25.5_______4.10___________4.10
27________ 3.87___________4.34
28_________3.73__________ 4.50*
29_________3.61__________4.66 *
30_________3.48__________4.82**
31_________3.37__________4.98
32_________3.27__________5.15
33_________3.17__________5.31***

* between a 28 and 29" tire would net the same final drive if you were to use the trooper 4.56 third members/gears,
** there was a 4.77 as mentioned that came with the 31" oem tire package which would put you close to the 30" mark for a ratio match.
*** there are aftermarket 5.38 gears available somewhere for trooper/rodeo diffs, haven't looked into it much but that would net you additional tq over stock using 33's.
there is also an ARB air locker for at least the rodeo rears (mostly 4.30 from what I have read)... just sayin...

Ind4x lists an air locker for the "front" Isuzu 10 bolt.
Front didn't change the gear cut, so it's just the rear put in the front.
Air locker that fits in a stock LUV rear third? If it wasn't $1k+ I'd do it.

Won't work in the rear third, fronts don't use a thrust block, rears must have a thrust block to set axle bearing preload, there's no room for the thrust block in the ARB.
You can fit a Aussie/Lokka lunch-box style locker or an Impulse LSD into a rear third as long as you add the proper thrust block.

Oops, my bad. Fogot about needing to hold the axles apart...
