I have a 80 4x4 and it's missing the spring or springs that hold the throw out bearing on the fork. Does anyone have a idea howhat many springs are there that hold the fork and the throw out bearing together?
Thanks Mike

There are 2 of them that hold the bearing to the clutch block/fork.

I am in the same boat on my 78. I have 1 stock retainer and one somebody made from scratch. I would like to find another stock one myself.

Do both retainers look the same? Any picks of them on the fork so if I do find some I know how they go together.

This is funny because I searched for weeks from home and never found a picture, but today it comes up at work as the first image. These are what one of mine looks like and the Haynes manual shows the same thing. They are available from nextdayauto.com
