I have a 1980 4x4 LUV that I want to SAS with coilovers. my plan is to buy a 2wd frame and build my 3 link setup on it and then swap running gear and body to it ( so I can keep driving my LUV until it is a ll ready). so basically i'm just wanting to make sure that any 1972-1980 frame will work. I'm pretty sure the frames are all the same for the first gens but I just want to make sure. Any help would be appreciated

There are some small differences in the frames. The one that I had was the bumper mounting is different.

All of the gen 1 bodies will bolt directly to a 72-80 frame.
