I'm brand new to being a member on this site but have used it a ton to do work to my 1980 LUV. I just bought a 1984 trooper with a 1.9 liter for $175. I'm gonna put the 4.56 gears and power steering from it in my LUV. i have seen plenty of posts about putting the power steering from Troopers in a LUV but haven't seen someone do it with the 1.9 motor and looks like the brackets for the pump are a bit different than the bigger isuzu motors they had in the troopers. I'm just wondering if it will still work or if ill have to go get a different pump or brackets from a trooper with a different motor. any help would be appreciated

'84 Trooper has a 1.9L G200Z engine, '80 LUV has the 1.8L G180Z engine. Except for the larger displacement & smaller intake valve on the 1.9 they are identical. If the Trooper accessories & brackets & pulleys are slightly different swap them over as a set to the LUV. Other than modifying the Trooper PS steering shaft stub to mate to the non-PS LUV shaft everything should be a direct bolt-on swap.
