The '86 did not come with rear disks.

The whole axle assembly can be made to fit, but it's 4" wider than your stock one and the driveshaft flange is different, as is the p-brake setup.

The disk rears are 12-bolt Isuzu, they are a much heavier rear with larger axle tubes- and everything else- than the Isuzu 10-bolt in all LUVs. Basically nothing interchanges between the two.

you'd have a gearing change too, if it came from a trooper since there 4.55 or 4.77 in 88/91

the isuzu 4WD trucks 88/95 had 4.11s in some models "if i remember right", its gotta come from a truck thats 2.6L or 3.1L V-6 powered.
2.3L 2WD trucks where still 10 bolt. 1988 up, 2.6L is the smallest 4WD engine.

the only gears for the front 8 bolt used in any luv, pup or trooper 4WD, 1979/1987 is 4.11s and 4.55s :(

the twins, 81 pup and 81 LUV both are diesel 2.2
